Providing all aspects of physical therapy to the Flathead Valley since 1986. Orthopedic Rehab in Kalispell has been located in the Flathead Valley Orthopedic Center since 2000. This location is staffed by 5 therapists, a physical therapy assistant, and an athletic trainer. Services include orthopedics, post surgical therapy, spine care, manual therapy, and custom orthotic fabrication.

Ben Kingan, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Ben received his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois before earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. He holds a Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification through the National Strength & Conditioning Association and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. Alena Ori, DPT

Alena was born and raised in the Flathead Valley. She was an 8 time varsity letter winner in Basketball, Volleyball and Track at Flathead High School. She went on to play collegiate Volleyball and Track at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Professional Health Sciences with a minor in Occupational Safety. Sarah Schmautz, DPT

Sarah was born and raised in Kalispell, MT. She graduated from Flathead High School before attending the University of Montana. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree in Human Biology. She then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2007. Sarah returned to Kalispell following graduation and joined the Orthopedic Rehab team in 2007. Read more…

Sara Ericksen, MS, PT

Sara is proud to have called the Flathead her home since 1999. She earned a Master of Science in physical therapy at TWU in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, she graduated with honors with a biology degree from Pacific Lutheran University. Her initial work was as an inpatient therapist as a part of the Rehab Medicine unit at the University of Washington. Prior to joining the OrthoRehab team she also worked at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago with focus on orthopedics, trauma, burns and cardiac. Her final position prior to relocating to Kalispell was in long term care with focus on orthopedics and neurological issues. Read more…

Rod Michel, PTA

Rod was born in Evansville, IN and raised in Newburgh where he graduated from Castle High School in 1988. He attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology in 1993. He later attended the University of Evansville and received his Associate of Science in Physical Therapy in 1999. He has been with Orthopedic Rehab since 2000. Read more…

Tonia Howe, PTA

Tonia was born and raised in North Dakota and relocated to Montana in 1998 and joined the Orthopedic Rehab team as a Physical Therapy Aide in 2008.
